H.E. General Ahmad Nasser Al Raisi, General Director of the Central Operations of Abu Dhabi Police, Chairman of Executive Committee at Emirates ID Board of Directors, and Chairman of Registration Strategy Committee, presided the meeting held in his office at the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police.
During the meeting H.E. General Al Raisi said that the coming stage of the Authority progress is in need for concerted efforts and mobilized energies capable for contributing in the success of the new Registration Strategy and the optimum application of its pivots and initiatives.
H.E General Ahmad Nasser Al Raisi expressed his hope that the new Registration Strategy, lately approved by the Board of Directors, would promote the achievement of its ultimate goal of registering all citizens and residents in the ID card and Population Registry.
Sagem, the company that is accomplishing the project, presented a summary view on work progress and the phases reached by the Strategy which is expected to be employed on the basis of different stages so that focus in the first stage will be on Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah- the heavily populated regions in the State.
The meeting agreed on the formation of a follow-up committee operating under the umbrella of the Registration Strategy Committee so that it bears the responsibility of supervising the achievement and the periodic follow-up of work progress in the project of registration, in addition to the evaluation of accomplishment phases one by one.
The meeting was attended by H.E.Dr. Eng.Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Deputy Chairman of Emirates ID's Higher Management Committee, and H.E. Colonel Khamis Mohammad Al Kaabi, Director of Legal Affairs in the General Directorate of Naturalization and Residency.
