H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID) stressed the keenness and attention paid by H.H. General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Emirates ID's Board of Directors to the importance of enhancing development efforts for advancing the provided services to the highest levels in a manner contributing to achieving expectations as per the directions of our supreme leadership.

This happened when he chaired the meeting of Emirates ID's Board of Directors in the Ministry of Interior. The meeting discussed a number of issues listed in the agenda and made the appropriate decisions regarding the same. In addition it approved some of the budgets allocated for Emirates ID and discussed the process of submitting Emirates ID's new strategy finally to the Board of Directors at the end of this February as preliminary step for adopting and approving it.
He directed to the concentration, during the coming stage, on registering population in the Population Register & Identity Card System and advancing customer services which is a primary theme in the Emirates ID's new strategy. He lauded the currently exerted efforts calling, at the same time, for continuous development efforts and swift achievement of transactions.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior reviewed "Tawafok" electronic system which will enable Emirates ID to follow up all technical problems facing Emirates ID with aim to find the appropriate solutions for the same.
He listened to a presentation submitted by Dr. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Vice Chairman of Emirates ID's Higher Management Committee on the project for developing Emirates ID's strategy through explaining its components and primary initiatives and themes for the years 2010 / 2014.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labor and Emirates ID's Board Member; Ahmed Mohamed Al Hamiri, Secretary General for the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and Emirates ID's Board Member; Major General Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations, Abu Dhabi Police and Head of Emirates ID's Executive Committee at the Board of Directors; and a number of board members from Emirates ID.
